Jetstar makes a smooth landing

Qantas’ new low cost-carrier Jetstar touched down on a promotional tour to Mackay this afternoon.

Key Jetstar executives will give a special presentation to major customers, travel agents, tourism officials and local staff tomorrow.

Jetstar will begin operations in Mackay on May 25. The budget priced airline’s first passenger carrying flight will depart Brisbane at 6.10 a.m. and will arrive in Mackay at 7.35 a.m.

Jetstar's launch includes three return services a day to Mackay. The airline will expand its Mackay presence with a direct Sydney-Mackay service in mid July.
