Mackay Port Authority Annual Report a winner

Posted on Tuesday, 26 July 2005 @ 5:08:20 PM

The Mackay Port Authority has taken out a "Bronze Award" in the Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA).

Mackay Airport General Manager Trevor Heard looks through the award winning 2004 Annual Report.

About 150 of the 300-plus entries received recognition in the annual awards presented at a gala function in Melbourne recently. Mackay Port Authority chairman Graham Davies congratulated MPA staff on the high achievement. “To win a bronze award, the 2004 report had to comply with the strict criteria set down by the ARA judges,” Mr Davies said.” Not everyone received recognition. Our report was judged on par with some pretty high flyers.” Other Bronze winners included Coca Cola, Westpac, Australian Taxation Office, Powerlink Queensland and Suncorp-Metway. A report from the Tasmanian power corporation Aurora Energy was judged the annual report of the year.
