Mackay Airport general manager Trevor Heard jets out of Mackay tomorrow for an international airport conference in Guam.
Mackay Airport manager Trevor Heard examines the Guam itinerary with airport co-ordinator Ray Waters.
The six day conference will be attended more than 400 delegates representing airports around the world.
The 2004 Asia Pacific Airport Conference will have a special focus on low cost carriers and their impact on a global market.
The conference has been divided in seven sessions focusing on a range of issues including airport privatization, sustainable transport and the liberalization of the industry.
Mr Heard said it would be a good opportunity to discuss common issues impacting on airports in the wake of the SARS outbreak and September 11.
“I suspect security will be a hot topic,” he said. |
