Mackay Port Authority Undercover security carpark to open in late January Article first published on Tuesday, 21 December 2004 @ 3:35:55 PM |
The new undercover security carpark at Mackay Airport is expected to be open for business by the end of January.
The 67 bay facility will lift secure and public car parking spaces to more than 500.
Until the official opening, the security carpark will be open to the public free-of-charge.
Mackay Airport general manager Trevor Heard said during this period the MPA was inviting the community to inspect and use the undercover facility.
The MPA has spent more than $2 million over the past year improving car parking facilities.
Parking will be further increased by 163 spaces in early 2005, as the MPA embarks on another expansion program in a bid to meet growing demand.
More information on the new undercover security carpark is available by contacting Mackay Airport on 49 570201.
