Hamilton Island's Sunsail fleet has been given a boost with 14 new yachts arriving at Mackay Harbour.

The yachts - including 12 monohull charter vessels and two catamarans - arrived from Greece on board the Egmondgracht on Wednesday (January 14).

The vessels will be fitted out at Mackay new world-class hardstand at the Mackay Marina before being put into service at Hamilton Island in the coming weeks.

The yachts are valued at more than $10 million and increase the Sunsail fleet to 30.

The arrival of the Egmondgracht, with some of the yachts secured to the deck, created plenty of interest as sightseers took vantage points along the marina's southern break wall.
