Luxury cruiser recovered from Mackay Harbour

Posted on 16 May 2007 by mackayports

A salvage team has successfully recovered a luxury cruiser from the bottom of Mackay Harbour.

The 22.8 metre vessel, owned by two Mackay businessmen, was raised by airbags and towed to the Mackay Marina late yesterday. The Eropaks hit rocks on the northern breakwall on May 4.

Police believe the grounding was caused by mechanical or electrical failure.
