Air Services
Mackay Airport is well serviced by Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Blue and the Qantas regional airline QantasLink. These airlines oprate a totoal of 49 jet services per week to and from Brisbane plus 4 direct services to and from Sydney with Jetstar. QantasLink also operate a total of 31 flights connecting hte city to the other major regional cities of North Queensland including Cairns and Townsville to the north and Rockhampton, Gladstone and Brisbane to the south.

Australian Helicopters operate daily helicopter transfers to Brampton Island, with Island Taxi's and Midstate Airlines operating flights to Hamilton Island, Lindeman Island (Club Med), Keswick Island and the Whitsunday airstrip.

Rail Services
Queensland Rail offer services connecting Mackay to Cairns in the north (four per week on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday), and Brisbane in the South (six per week every day excluding Friday). The Tilt trainoperates three services per week from Brisbane to Cairns, including a stop-over at Mackay.

Coach Services
Several coach companies provide daily inter-city services in modern well-equipped luxury coaches. Connexion Coaches operate daily to and from Proserpine, Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour to Mackay Airport.
