Former Former Grainco chairman Rod Birch enjoyed lunch with the Mackay Port Authority Board last week. Mr Birch (centre) is with MPA CEO Greg Mann (left) and Chairman John Taylor. Mr Birch stood down as chairman of Grainco in May.

He has had more than 30 years’ experience as a grain, cattle and cotton producer. Mr Birch has held a number of positions with the Queensland Grain Growers’ Association and was a former chairman of the Central Queensland Grain Sorghum Marketing Board. Mr Taylor said the MPA has had a long association with Mr Birch and thanked him for his contribution to primary industries.
